“Education is for improving
the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than
you found it.”
-Marian Wright Edelman
Welcome to Harford Hills Elementary!
At Harford Hills, our tradition of academic excellence and citizenship is
anchored in the belief that all students benefit from educational practices
that provide them with hope, direction, and preparation for their future
lives.
At Harford Hills we:
- provide challenging and rigorous instruction taught by a staff of exemplary
teachers;
- maintain a safe learning environment for students, staff and our larger
school community;
- work in partnership with parents and the community toward the goal of
improved achievement for all children.
Harford Hills opened its doors in 1963 and is home to students in pre-kindergarten
through fifth grades. Most of our students attend either Pine Grove or Parkville
Middle Schools for grades six through eight. Our GT (Gifted and Talented)
program is open to qualified students in grades three, four and five in reading
and math. For students with identified disabilities, we deliver services
in both inclusion and adapted education settings.
Harford Hills has an outstanding vocal and instrumental music program as
well as advanced art for selected students. Students may choose to
participate in after school programs such as “24 Challenge”,
Black Saga, and Patriots and Defenders program.
