FOOD POLICY

Students in BCPS are provided access to breakfast and lunch at school at not cost during the 25-26 school year.

Parents can get more information from the BCPS Food & Nutrition page on the main BCPS website.

Students may not share food brought from home with other students.  While the intention may be generosity, the risk of an allergic reaction is a significant concern. Parents are asked to remind their children NOT to share food with friends at school.

For that reason and more, and in alignment with Rule 5470, parents are also reminded NOT to send food items to school for celebrations.

Instead of sending in food for special occasions, parents can consider sending in a small item or craft to share.  Please communicate with your child's homeroom teacher to learn about classroom based celebrations.
