Title 1, Part A is part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), which was put into effect on December 10, 2015. This legislation reauthorized the 50-year-old Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps.
During SY 25-26, Harford Hills Elementary Community School will receive Title 1 funding. Our school is considered a "targeted assistance school." This means that one or more student groups are in need of additional support to reach goals in reading and/or mathematics.
